|12:08 pm - If you're in San Francisco this weekend....|
Many of my friends here know my former partner and good friend David Stein, one of the founding members of Gay Male S/M Activists, and the author of several best-selling books on the leather community and leathersex. He's in San Francisco this week, and tomorrow, Sunday, March 11 he's giving a talk about leather history — and its future — as part of the San Francisco Bay Area Leather Alliance Weekend, organized by Darren Bondy, Mr. San Francisco Leather 2011.
The talk is tomorrow from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, and admission is free (although donations are welcome). The program includes a casual social break, so it's a great way to meet others as well as see friends in the leather community — plus which it's held in the space above the Mr. S leather store at 8th St & Harrison, so you can window/shop afterwards!

Also, if I were in San Francisco anytime this month, I'd be sure to catch the exhibit of original artwork and personal memorabilia from Larry Townsend, currently on display at the Center for Sex and Culture:

I did a show at CSC Thursday night - the Larry Townsend art is fantastic, and they have quite a bit of his stuff as well (his boots, hanging from the wall by a pair of titclamps, are hung high above the art in their own light, like a benevolent spirit).
Drat! I'll be in San Francisco NEXT weekend... arrrggg
