this made me happy! Thanks. Though I didn't know about Tibor's fascination with menu boards until I googled, I'm glad I do know.
I tend to like prices included, but two items well make up for it in your shot here (aside from the content itself):
1. The stair-stepped CHEESE, PLATTERS & EXTRA 2. Plain wax paper wrappers for the bread.
Delish. Apparently the letterbox only had a single ampersand... http://images.lib.ncsu.edu:8180/luna/servlet/detail/NCSULIB~1~1~51918~123630:Florent-Menu-Board-AdvertisementI guess you can only buy bread in wax paper (which will give you a better crust than smothering plastic wrap) when you use it up quickly, this diner must do a lot of breakfasts in addition to their famous burgers. Which is what I had, after the Met Musuem and before the Guggenheim a couple Sundays ago: Unfortunately, nothing shows the scale -- the burger was a good 12-16 oz. of beef. I couldn't finish it or the rings. Come back someday, I'll take you and Dan there. |
